About the role
- Provide non-clinical support to assessment and evaluation of members' needs to achieve/maintain optimal wellness
- Guide members/families toward and facilitate interaction with appropriate resources for care and wellbeing
- Work as part of an After Care Follow Up team to connect beneficiaries to behavioral health providers
- Engage in outgoing telephonic communications to establish appointments for beneficiary engagement (60% of role)
- Assist with inbound/outbound telephone calls, provide general program information and route callers as needed
- Enter appropriate information into Care Management applications and other required systems; research providers and provide appointing support
- Print and process letters, welcome packets and educational mailings; perform mail functions including receiving, sorting, distributing, researching returned mail (20% of role)
- Perform administrative tasks: schedule meetings, scribe/distribute meeting minutes, maintain office files and educational materials (10% of role)
- Assist manager and supervisors as needed and perform other duties as assigned (10% of role)
Requirements
- 2 or more years of customer care experience including outbound call experience
- Must be able to work an 8-hour shift Mon-Fri between the hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST
- Knowledge and experience with medical terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- U.S. Citizenship required (Department of Defense contract)
- Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS - National Background Investigation Services)
- HGB is not authorized to do work in Puerto Rico; cannot hire candidates currently living in Puerto Rico
- Ability to work from a dedicated space protecting member PHI / HIPAA information
- Minimum internet recommendation for Hybrid Office/Home associates: download 25 Mbps and upload 10 Mbps
- Preferred: Knowledge of behavioral health terminology
- Preferred: Administration support experience in the healthcare industry
- Preferred: Prior experience in retail, sales or marketing
- Preferred: Bilingual fluent in Spanish/English
- Preferred: Experience with TRICARE contracts and/or the military health care delivery system
- Preferred: Knowledge of TRICARE policies and benefits
