About the role
- Identify opportunities to improve provider documentation and create education plans tailored to each assigned provider
- Arrange educational sessions with assigned providers aimed at quality of care and documentation improvements
- Pull MRA reports, identify educational needs based on reports, and present information
- Use data analytics tools to assess coding quality, identify error patterns, and monitor compliance with internal and external standards
- Participate in teams to improve documentation, data integrity, and workflow processes
- Build ongoing relationships with staff and providers teams
- Conduct virtual education and/or provider onsite education, based on business needs
- Collaborate with other market provider facing roles
Requirements
- AHIMA or AAPC CPC (Certified Professional Coder) Certification
- 4 or more years of medical coding experience
- Risk Adjustment knowledge
- Proficiency with data analytics tools (such as Excel, Power BI, or similar) and experience in interpreting large data sets
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- CRC -Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (Preferred)
- Experience working with healthcare providers (Preferred)
- Technical knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (Preferred)
- Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation (Preferred)
- Experience with public speaking and presentation skills with healthcare providers (Preferred)
- Medicare Risk Adjustment knowledge (Preferred)
