About the role
- Contributes to administration of utilization management
- Performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments
- Provides non-clinical support for policies and procedures ensuring appropriate treatment for members
- Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards
- Follows standard policies/practices allowing for some opportunity for interpretation
Requirements
- 1+ years administrative or technical support experience in an office type environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows based environment
- Ability to quickly learn new systems
- Associate’s degree (preferred)
- Prior member service or customer service telephone experience (preferred)
- Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization, preferably within a Managed Care/Insurance organization (preferred)
