About the role

  • Contributes to administration of utilization management
  • Performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments
  • Provides non-clinical support for policies and procedures ensuring appropriate treatment for members
  • Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards
  • Follows standard policies/practices allowing for some opportunity for interpretation

Requirements

  • 1+ years administrative or technical support experience in an office type environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows based environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Associate’s degree (preferred)
  • Prior member service or customer service telephone experience (preferred)
  • Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization, preferably within a Managed Care/Insurance organization (preferred)
