About the role
- Lead complex research engagements from start to finish, acting as project manager and consultant on studies
- Manage client relationships; discuss complex business and research issues and build trust and rapport
- Create analysis plans, find meaningful data, synthesize insights, and convey the story in a compelling way
- Adopt and apply the storytelling process to create impactful deliverables and present clearly and influence stakeholders
- Independently develop proposals for simple to moderately complex studies including scoping, pricing and deliverable creation
- Support account goals and generate additional business by building client trust through exceptional client service skills
- Lead and mentor engagement teams; set expectations, delegate appropriately, and hold others accountable
- Provide internal training and train clients in various methodologies and provide research recommendations
- Effectively oversee the financial goals and profitability of an engagement
Requirements
- Demonstrates well-rounded research skills – strong quantitative (statistical) skills
- Experience with research approaches for surveying/interviewing consumers, staff, B2B audiences, etc. including telephone, online, and mail methodologies
- Demonstrated engagement leadership skills including motivating team members, mentoring junior staff, collaboration skills, ability to take initiative
- Client interface experience including the proven ability to discuss and understand a client’s complex business and research objectives, building rapport and trusting relationship with clients relative to project management abilities
- Excellent project management skills; ability to lead complex engagements independently from start to finish
- Ability to create analysis plans, adopt storytelling process, and produce and present impactful deliverables
- Experience overseeing financial goals and profitability of engagements
- Experience developing proposals including scoping, pricing and deliverable creation
