About the role
- Support the safe and efficient operation of Copper Mountain Mine through technical analysis, planning, and engineering support.
- Develop and optimize blast designs including timing, wall control, and fragmentation performance.
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly mine plans to support production targets.
- Develop medium- and long-term mine designs and production schedules aligned with business objectives.
- Support fleet management systems and analyze production data to identify opportunities for productivity optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining or Geotechnical Engineering
- Registered or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
- 3 - 6 years of progressive experience in open pit mining operations or mine engineering roles
- Working knowledge of open pit mining methods, mine planning principles, and production processes.
- Possess a valid Class 5 British Columbia driver’s license and have access to personal transportation
