About the role
- Learn about the safe and optimal extraction of mineral deposits.
- Work collaboratively with safety, operations, and geology teams to learn about mine planning and departmental functions.
- Opportunity to travel underground regularly to learn about surveying, ventilation, validating plans, assessing ground conditions, and real-time engineering solutions.
- Learn about designing safe and efficient short-to-mid-range extraction plans.
- Collaborate with geology to evaluate ore zones and minimize dilution.
- Learn to analyze cavity monitoring surveys (CMS) and perform statistical analysis to optimize blast performance.
- Learn to identify risks to the mine plan and implement appropriate mitigations.
- Champion health and safety standards in all engineering designs and daily operations.
Requirements
- Have completed at least 1 year of a University Degree in Mining or Geological Engineering.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to learn.
