About the role
- Ensure a safe work environment by making sure the site complies with company policy, the Mines Act, and the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in British Columbia
- Assists with survey data collection to support production, including face pickups, laying out blast patterns, staking ore boundaries, and providing shovel grade control
- Assists in drill pattern design, blast planning, monitoring, and post-blast analysis
- Contribute to short-term planning, including design, scheduling, and data analysis
- Participate in investigations, data collection, QAQC, and monitoring for various studies and processes related to operations improvement
Requirements
- Enrolled in a University degree in Mining Engineering, must be a 2nd year or above student
- Open-pit mining experience is considered an asset
- Experience in SQL, Python, and Surpac are considered an asset
- Experience piloting drones considered an asset
- Possess a valid Class 5/7N British Columbia driver’s license and have access to personal transportation
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada
