Ensure a safe work environment by making sure the site complies with company policy, the Mines Act, and the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in British Columbia
Assists with survey data collection to support production, including face pickups, laying out blast patterns, staking ore boundaries, and providing shovel grade control
Assists in drill pattern design, blast planning, monitoring, and post-blast analysis
Contribute to short-term planning, including design, scheduling, and data analysis
Participate in investigations, data collection, QAQC, and monitoring for various studies and processes related to operations improvement

Requirements

Enrolled in a University degree in Mining Engineering, must be a 2nd year or above student
Open-pit mining experience is considered an asset
Experience in SQL, Python, and Surpac are considered an asset
Experience piloting drones considered an asset
Possess a valid Class 5/7N British Columbia driver’s license and have access to personal transportation
Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada
