About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build high-fidelity prototypes, interaction models, and front-end explorations
- Create and evolve reusable components, patterns, and implementation approaches
- Partner with designers and engineers to translate design intent into scalable, accessible, and maintainable solutions
- Contribute to component APIs, implementation patterns, and design-to-code workflows
- Build or improve tools, automations, plugins, and documentation for design system adoption
- Identify gaps and inconsistencies across product surfaces and turn them into reusable system improvements
- Balance flexibility and standardization according to product needs
- Use modern prototyping and front-end technologies to explore motion, interaction, and emerging UI patterns
- Account for accessibility, localization, responsiveness, performance, and inclusive design principles
- Share knowledge through documentation, demos, design reviews, and collaboration
- Guide peers on design system usage and implementation best practices
- Independently drive high-impact design system work and contribute to system strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience in design technology, UX engineering, front-end development, design systems, or a closely related field
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript
- Experience with React and contemporary front-end tooling
- Ability to build sophisticated prototypes, interactive UI, or production-quality front-end components
- Experience contributing to or evolving a design system, component library, or shared UI framework
- Strong understanding of design language, interaction design, and front-end implementation
- Ability to independently own large, complex projects while collaborating across multiple teams
- Experience identifying workflow inefficiencies and building pragmatic tools or automation
- Fluency in accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical tradeoffs to designers, engineers, and cross-functional partners
- Curiosity about emerging technologies and their application to design system workflows and product quality
- Bonus: experience with design tokens, theming, design-to-code synchronization, motion systems, advanced interactions, animation, AI-assisted tooling, AI interaction patterns, internal tools, plugins, or automations

Comp & perks- Base salary range of $161,500–$258,400 USD annually
