Director, Revenue Accounting
HubSpotDirector of Revenue Accounting ensuring compliance with ASC 606 while leading a global revenue accounting team at HubSpot. Managing processes and policies in a growing public company environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own all aspects of global revenue accounting, including contract reviews, technical accounting conclusions, monthly revenue close processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert in revenue accounting, including interpreting complex ASC 606 guidance.
- Drive continuous process transformation and automation across revenue accounting.
- Own the functional design and integrity of the revenue recognition system and revenue reporting infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, Product, FP&A, Legal, and other cross-functional partners on non-standard contract strategy.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years professional experience in accounting.
- Deep mastery of ASC 606 and revenue recognition in a public accounting and/or public company SaaS environment.
- CPA required.
- Strong experience with revenue reporting infrastructure (e.g., AREV, NetSuite, or similar).
- Exceptionally organized, adaptable, and comfortable operating across multiple priorities and stakeholder groups.
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and SEC reporting requirements.
