About the role
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to transform Finance processes in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices, with an initial focus on P2P process transformation.
- Lead process assessments, solution design, and implementations to achieve efficiency, compliance, and cost objectives.
- Measure ROI and ensure resources are strategically allocated to projects with the highest potential for value creation and organizational impact.
- Own and drive critical process analysis, identify opportunities to streamline processes, and enhance efficiency.
- Partner with the Finance Systems lead on the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies, financial software, and automation tools.
- Partner with cross functional teams on project planning, discovery, design, and implementation efforts. Strategize and execute new ways of improving processes and productivity.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of finance transformation initiatives, and regularly monitor progress against targets.
- Assess potential risks associated with finance transformation projects in partnership with audit functions and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate automation of operational tasks and processes at scale, incorporating the latest GenAI tools.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback, implementing lessons learned, and adapting strategies based on evolving business needs and market dynamics.
- Drive cultural and organizational change by effectively communicating the vision for transformation, garnering buy-in from stakeholders, and managing resistance to change. Mentor and coach Finance team members, providing guidance on new processes, technologies, and best practices to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting or business administration.
- Certifications such as CFA, CPA is a plus.
- Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in finance - preferably a mix of Finance operational or strategic roles and roles in Finance transformation.
- Demonstrated experience in the P2P space with end-to-end process transformation and technology implementation.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex Finance transformation initiatives from inception to implementation, delivering measurable results.
- Experience implementing new technology solutions in Finance - GenAI, Machine Learning and Robotic Process Automation solutions.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Finance processes, systems, and best practices, with the ability to drive process optimization, automation and efficiency gains.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and manage budgets effectively.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence change in the organization. Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams without direct control.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, accounting principles, financial reporting standards, controls and compliance requirements.
