About the role

  • Responsible for the operation and continuous optimization of our network infrastructure (core, LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN)
  • Drive the transformation towards a vendor-agnostic infrastructure
  • Establish declarative workflows based on NetBox and Ansible to define, version and deploy network configurations as code
  • Ensure configuration changes through CI/CD pipelines and automated pre-change tests (dry runs)
  • Develop network observability using streaming telemetry for proactive fault detection and closed-loop automations
  • Automate provisioning of network resources via REST APIs and eliminate manual sources of error
  • Troubleshoot in complex, code-based environments, coordinate external service providers and support strategic IT network projects

Requirements

  • Degree in IT/Computer Science or vocational training as an IT specialist, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
  • Strong expertise in administering heterogeneous IT environments and confident with network protocols such as OSPF and BGP, as well as modern fabric technologies (EVPN/VXLAN)
  • Experienced in automation with Ansible and proficient in a scripting language (ideally Python)
  • Experience with Git (version control) and data formats/structures (YAML/JSON)
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience operating firewalls and knowledge of cloud networking concepts (e.g., SDN/OpenStack) are a major plus
