About the role
- Responsible for creating substation drawing packages including one-line drawings, plan and elevation drawings, equipment manufacturing drawings
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and interpret intent
- Provide construction support and solutions to problems that arise during construction/installation
- Assist in the development of project estimates for substation design opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering Technology program
- On track to obtain PE License in the U.S.
- Ability to develop and modify engineering deliverables
- Familiarity with engineering application software (ground grid design, transformer sizing, etc.)
- Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and National Electric Code (NEC)
- Familiarity with IEEE standards for substation bus design
- Ability to collaborate with protection and control engineering and structural engineering teams
