About the role
- Perform visual and electrical inspections and tests of products and subassemblies
- Develop a working knowledge of the names and mechanical appearance of various electronic components
- Perform electrical set-ups from drawings and electric diagrams
- Accurately document information on all inspections and tests on QA reporting forms
- Advise the Supervisor - Production Test of respective production effects and/or problems with test fixtures
- Interpret bills of materials, written test procedures, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation
- Perform simple troubleshooting tasks
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering to resolve problems regarding test fixtures, equipment, and test procedures
- Provide support to other departments by troubleshooting and repairing units or circuit boards
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prefer a technical degree or previous electronics experience
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. and transport
- Good mobility
- Must be able to distinguish and identify different components/part colors
- Must be able to successfully distinguish between various test equipment signals and test indicators
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
