About the role

  • Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees

  • Approves expenditures for supplies, materials, personnel
  • Ensures materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet productivity and customer requirements
  • Maintain a safe working environment consistent with all local, state, OSHA and Hubbell requirements
  • Review and analyze reports to evaluate facility performance against key indicator metrics
  • Lead staff and workflow to maintain alignment with business goals for these key indicators
  • Develop a staff and culture dedicated to the highest levels of quality and customer service
  • Drive and sustain continuous improvements in all areas throughout the facility using techniques such as 5S, Kaizen Improvement, Standard Work, Root Cause analysis and others to identify and eliminate non valued added activities.
  • Other responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and developing employees; addressing daily challenges and resolving problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience manufacturing management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Business Management or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of Financial Management
  • Experience in a growth-oriented sales
  • 5+ years experience with Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma quality processes
  • Proficiency in Excel along with all other digital literacy is needed
  • Excellent social skills, both on plant floor and in executive office
  • Confirmed initiative and desire to drive change and is motivated to go above and beyond
  • SAP experience a plus.
