About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supporting the Product Manager in delivering complex PAS data integrations: collaborating on the product design, defining and verifying transformation logic with Operations and customers, overseeing implementation of validation rules and reconciliations for the transformation of Class or equivalent systems’ data into the PAS universal format.
  • Data governance and accuracy: ensuring data integrity, timeliness and completeness is a critical responsibility - including contributing to the development and implementation of appropriate tools and alerting systems, and an understanding of what will drive productivity for our customers and support teams when troubleshooting data issues.
  • Stakeholder and cross-functional team collaboration: attending customer meetings for new integrations, managing internal and external stakeholder expectations, working closely with SMEs and technical leads to ensure alignment on product requirements and target state, supporting the Business Analysts in the writing and refinement of user stories, working with QA to perform UAT, and being available as an SME on Class and other integrations with PAS for development and other business teams.
  • Hands-on delivery support and issue triage: embedding with the development team to proactively identify, diagnose and resolve data transformation and mapping issues, drive triage (root cause analysis, prioritisation and clear action owners), and partnering with Operations to manage incidents, communications and remediation through to resolution.
  • Compliance and security oversight: ensuring compliance with internal and external data handling standards, secure access and role-based permissions for reporting tools, and IT governance frameworks.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years’ working in Financial Services & Technology, with expertise in superannuation, portfolio analysis and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Class or equivalent systems’ portfolio accounting data into downstream platforms (e.g., mapping/transformations, validation rules, reconciliations, and exception management)
  • Financial services industry domain expertise: Strong understanding of superannuation and SMSF administration.
  • Understanding of SMSF administration systems such as Class or BGL
  • Knowledge of marketable securities (Shares, bonds, options, managed funds) and alternative assets (Private equity funds, investment properties).
  • Understanding of investment data, including corporate actions, security pricing, income processing, and reconciliations.
  • Experience working with advisers, accountants, and clients, resulting in an understanding of their needs and therefore the underlying data requirements.
  • Exposure to performance calculation methodologies and the impact of data integrity on accurate portfolio reporting.
  • Ability to breakdown complex problems, identify high-value opportunities, and prioritise solutions in a logical, strategic sequence.
  • Excellent communicator with influencing skills across business and technology teams
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple pieces of work effectively.
  • Desired skill knowledge of data technologies particularly using SQL or Python to analyse and validate data and logic.
