Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Perform journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reports
Ensure compliance with ASPE accounting standards
Perform budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Run payroll processing
Supervise bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
Monitor the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
Perform month-end and year-end closing processes
Assist with preparation and filing of: GST/HST returns, Corporate income tax support (T2 schedules), Payroll remittances (CPP, EI, Income Tax)
Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Review work performed by accounting clerks and junior accountants
Provide training and performance feedback
Assign and monitor tasks to ensure deadlines are met
Edit documents for Loan proposes

Requirements

3 to 5 years of accounting experience
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage 50, SAP, Wave
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Knowledge of GST/HST, payroll compliance, and financial reporting
Good skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reports
Understanding of tax regulations such as Goods and Services Tax (GST) or other local taxes
Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
