Scrum Master
HR Strategic SolutionsScrum Master facilitating Agile teams for high-value product delivery in a hybrid work environment. Supporting Scrum events and promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate Scrum Events: Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives. Ensure these meetings are effective and time-boxed.
- Coach and Guide the Team: Support and empower the development team, helping them understand and implement Agile values, principles, and Scrum practices. Foster a self-organizing and cross-functional team culture.
- Remove Impediments: Identify and eliminate obstacles or blockers that hinder the team's progress. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues outside the team's control.
- Maintain Scrum Artifacts: Ensure that Scrum artifacts, such as the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Burndown charts, are transparent and up-to-date.
- Promote Collaboration: Encourage effective communication and collaboration between team members, Product Owner, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate Decision-Making: Facilitate decision-making processes, helping the team reach consensus when needed.
- Protect the Team: Act as a shield for the team, preventing external disruptions during the Sprint to maintain focus and productivity.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to regularly inspect and adapt their processes for better efficiency.
- Track and Monitor Progress: Use appropriate metrics and tools to monitor team progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate Team Empowerment: Encourage the team to self-organize and make decisions collaboratively.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Understanding of Software Development processes and continuous delivery.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certifications preferred.
- Experienced with Agile Frameworks - (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFE…) and Agile planning tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, guiding teams in Agile methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles, values, and Scrum practices.
- Ability to identify and remove impediments while promoting continuous improvement.
- Ability to work with diverse teams and adapt to changing environments.
- Significant experience working in a technical environment with cross functional teams.
- Ability to communicate with individuals from both technical and non-technical backgrounds and present content in a meaningful, clear and concise way.
- Significant experience of facilitating all scrum ceremonies impeccably while adapting them to meet organizational and team needs appropriately.
