About the role
- Design, implement, and maintain financial controls to ensure compliance with capital and client funds safeguarding requirements
- Establish end-to-end accounting processes together with an external accounting firm (general ledger, chart of accounts, monthly and quarterly close)
- Oversee key accounting areas, including revenue recognition, accruals, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet controls
- Prepare and review financial reporting packages for group consolidation
- Contribute to the development of financial policies, procedures, and financial governance
- Act as the main point of contact for statutory audits, regulatory reviews, and financial inspections in Lithuania
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on finance-related regulatory matters
- Perform other finance-related tasks as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial control, accounting, audit, or finance roles within fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated industries
- Knowledge of Lithuanian accounting standards and financial regulatory reporting
- Experience building financial processes and controls from scratch
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured communication
- High level of independence and integrity, with the ability to operate autonomously
- Residency in Lithuania
- Professional fluency in English and Lithuanian
