About the role
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems for a high-traffic web platform;
- Define and drive the engineering roadmap;
- Review technical proposals from the team;
- Write robust, scalable, and reusable code to build and maintain backend systems;
- Ensure consistent, high-quality code standards;
- Design and optimize database systems to support high transaction volumes;
- Lead the implementation of caching strategies and load balancing;
- Collaborate with a team of developers to deliver high-quality solutions;
- Promote knowledge sharing across the team;
- Conduct technical interviews and assess candidates’ skills;
- Participate in requirements and implementation discussions to align technical directions with product goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years building and scaling high-traffic web applications;
- Advanced proficiency in backend-focused languages like Python or similar;
- Expertise in frameworks like Django/FastAPI, or similar for backend development;
- Strong experience with database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and performance optimization techniques;
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes);
- 2+ years of experience working in or leading engineering teams, with a focus on collaboration, code reviews, and knowledge sharing;
- Ability to make strategic technical decisions and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
