About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and a customer-first mindset across the organization.
  • Attract, build, manage, and develop a high-performing team of talented operations & execution leaders with diverse expertise, perspectives, and backgrounds.
  • Develop and implement an operating model and stakeholder engagement model for the newly created CTO Operations organization, serving as the accountable leader and primary interface to stakeholders.
  • Oversee the organization’s strategy and transformation planning, including execution of the transformation strategy and change management, OKRs, business metrics, analytics and reporting.
  • Lead a central team of Chiefs of Staff delivering proactive executive operation support to engineering leaders.
  • Oversee central technical program management, driving execution excellence for cross-functional engineering initiatives.
  • Oversee internal and external communications for the CTO, Software organization.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current or prior experience operating at the VP level in strategy, operations, or related areas within an established technology company.
  • 15+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or related areas, including 8+ years leading organizations through senior leadership roles.
  • Proven success building and leading high-performing teams that drive strategic, operational, and execution capabilities within large, complex product or engineering environments.
  • Experience driving strategy and/or operations within engineering organizations delivering products used by millions of customers and/or large-scale commercial businesses generating more than $100 million in annual revenue.
  • Strong track record of improving operational efficiency and engineering effectiveness through strategic thinking and disciplined execution.
  • Experience leading or scaling functions such as transformation, chief of staff, technical program management, and/or communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and drive alignment across large, matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical and operational topics clearly to executive audiences.
  • Strong collaboration and leadership presence, with a reputation for building trust, attracting top talent, and developing diverse, high-performing teams.
