About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead high-stakes patent litigation and other litigation matters with significant legal, financial, and business impact.
  • Function as a litigation leader, driving strategy, outcomes, and budgets with independent judgment.
  • Own significant patent litigation matters, including technically complex, expert-driven cases, as well as complex commercial litigation matters.
  • Retain, manage, and closely partner with outside counsel, including staffing, strategy, fee arrangements, and performance accountability.
  • Manage budgets for matters in scope, including forecasting, accruals, reserves, and executive-level reporting on litigation spend and exposure.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 7 + years of litigation experience, reflecting progressive responsibility for complex, high stakes matters.
  • Demonstrated trial experience, including trying cases to verdict.
  • Proven experience leading complex patent litigation matters, including technically complex, expert-driven cases.
  • Strong judgment and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
