About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Apply deep knowledge of HP’s Supplies portfolio to support retail account strategies, articulating product value propositions and competitive differentiators.
- Partner closely with account managers to identify growth opportunities, support pipeline development, and contribute to revenue and share objectives within assigned retail accounts.
- Establish and maintain professional, consultative relationships by developing a strong understanding of retailer business models, operational priorities, and category dynamics.
- Conduct needs assessments and translates retailer requirements into tailored solutions, programs, or recommendations aligned with HP’s retail and supply chain strategies.
- Support sales execution through proposal development, internal alignment, forecasting inputs, and contribution to deal discussions and renewals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, category management, operations, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure cohesive execution and customer satisfaction.
- Track and maintain accurate records of sales activities, programs, and communications in line with HP tools, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor market trends, retailer activities, and competitive dynamics to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- Support sales readiness by transferring knowledge, best practices, and tools to internal teams, helping reduce the learning curve and improve execution quality.
- Ensure adherence to HP’s ethical, legal, and compliance standards across all sales-related activities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically, 4–7 years of relevant experience in sales, retail account support, consultative selling, category management, or a related commercial role.
- Experience working with large retail customers, consumer products, or ongoing replenishment-based businesses preferred.
