About the role
- Designs portions of engineering solutions, including methods, operation sequences, and processes for the manufacturing of parts, component sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
- Implements and executes established time standards, production area layouts, and requirements for manufacturing tooling and processes for subsystems.
- Develops cost estimates, capacity models, and recommendations for tooling and process requirements.
- Develops and reviews key indicators to measure factory performance and provide recommendations to factory management.
- Collaborates and communicates with management and development partners regarding manufacturing issues.
- Participates as a member of project team to develop and execute high quality manufacturing solutions.
Requirements
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
- Six Sigma Certification
- American Production And Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification
- Proficiency in Agile Methodology
- Automation
