About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design engineering solutions for mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware based on established engineering principles in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
- Provide Tier 4 Engineering support, investigate hardware related field and factory issues and determine root cause(s).
- Use continuous improvement methodology to continuously improve performance, reliability and quality while reducing cost.
- Serve as HP technical interface for strategic suppliers.
- Work on cross-functional, multi-disciplinary project teams with other engineers and development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for highly-complex products.
- Collaborate and communicate with management, internal and outsourced development partners, and other key stakeholders regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Typically has 3 to 5 years of engineering experience
- Ability to work across multiple technical disciplines
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
- Proactive, innovative, self-motivating character
- Strong customer focus
- Ability to adapt and respond quickly and appropriately to changing business needs
- Detail-oriented, with a desire and proven ability to use data and analytical methods to investigate/solve issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English.
