About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of end-user software applications running on local, networked, and Internet- based platforms
Analyze design and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution
Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by users or identified during testing and usage
Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance teams, to implement new features and functionalities
Allocate resources to complete programming projects and designing detailed plans to ensure applications are functioning properly
Lead a project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystem
Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution
Represent the software applications engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects
Keep up with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development to stay current and improve skills

Requirements

What you’ll need

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence
4-7 years of work experience, preferably in applications engineering, programming, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience
Programming Language/s Certification (C, C++, or similar)
C++17 and above
Windows Application Programming Interface (Win32 API)
