About the role
- Support WW category strategy with insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics
- Build and maintain a strong understanding of competitors’ portfolios, positioning, pricing, and go‑to‑market strategies
- Analyze category and competitive performance to identify opportunities, risks, and implications for the HP portfolio
- Support optimization of the Traditional Inkjet hardware portfolio, aligned to customer segments, price tiers, and regional market needs
- Provide input on portfolio gaps, overlaps, and differentiation versus competitors
- Contribute to WW 4P plans (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) for Consumer and Business Inkjet
- Act as a key interface with the Supplies organization to support alignment on strategy, portfolio direction, and priorities
- Contribute to integrated system messaging across printers, ink/supplies, and subscriptions
- Support integration of subscription (e.g., Instant Ink) considerations into hardware portfolio and GTM discussions
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Pricing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Supplies, Subscription, and Regional teams
- Prepare analysis and materials for business reviews, planning cycles, and leadership discussions
- Support tracking and reporting of category KPIs (revenue, margin, market share, units)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Category Management, Product Management, Business Analysis, or Competitive Analysis
- Experience working with global teams and multi‑market portfolios preferred
- Exposure to supplies and/or subscription‑based business models is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Solid understanding of competitive portfolios and market dynamics
- Ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations
- Effective cross‑functional collaboration and communication
- Comfortable working in complex, matrixed organizations
- Learning agility and attention to detail
