About the role
- Design mechanical and thermal hardware solutions, including electronics enclosures and production tooling, using established engineering principles and in alignment with development standards, practices, and guidelines.
- Develop and execute design parameters and test plans for new and existing products, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, fan performance, system power measurements, and acoustics.
- Collaborate effectively with management, internal stakeholders, and outsourced development partners to communicate design status, project progress, risks, and issue resolution.
- Manage relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers by setting clear expectations for deliverables, quality, schedules, and cost; ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams.
- Lead cross‑functional project teams of mechanical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced partners to deliver reliable, cost‑effective, and high‑quality solutions for moderately complex products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Typically 4–7 years of relevant professional experience in engineering design, hardware development, and solution implementation across the product development lifecycle, or an advanced degree with 3–5 years of related experience.
