About the role
- Drive the Transformation Engine Operationalize the PM Excellence strategy across business units, functions, and geographies.
- Stand up and run cross-functional programs that reshape HP’s product operating model, rituals, tools, and ways of working.
- Lead high-visibility pilots designed to produce evidence of what works: customer-centric discovery methods, experimentation practices, experience roadmaps, and AI-assisted PM workflows.
- Translate pilot insights into scalable standards that uplift productivity, creativity, and business outcomes.
- Build HP’s Future PM Talent Model Run enterprise-wide PM skill assessments, identifying capability gaps and designing pathways that shift behaviors, skills, and mindsets.
- Design and deploy a world-class PM learning curriculum from foundational to expert levels.
- Partner with HR to define an updated global PM role architecture, including roles, competencies, progression paths, and a modernized PM identity that reflects HP’s strategic ambition.
- Elevate the PM Craft Introduce best-in-class practices in design thinking, ethnography, experimentation, customer-journey mapping, and product analytics.
- Create toolkits, playbooks, methods, and enablement programs that help teams adopt these practices consistently.
- Support PM teams directly through structured coaching, capability uplift sessions, and embedded learning moments that accelerate real-world application.
- Bring an Outside-In Perspective Establish a continuous external insights pipeline by engaging global product leaders, top technology companies, and best-in-class organizations.
- Benchmark HP’s PM capabilities against world standards, translating insights into actionable improvements.
- Ensure HP remains future-ready by identifying emerging tools, methods, and talent practices that strengthen our competitive advantage.
- Own Program Performance and Stakeholder Alignment Drive program roadmaps, timelines, risks, and cross-team communications with discipline and clarity.
- Partner daily with VPs of Product, PM Managers, R&D leaders, Design, and HR to ensure alignment and adoption.
- Prepare clear, compelling communications and readouts for executive stakeholders.
- Ensure measurable capability uplift through KPIs, pilot results, behavioral indicators, and adoption metrics.
Requirements
- 10+ years in Product Management or product-related transformation roles
- Experience driving capability building or operating-model change in large organizations
- "Startup in an enterprise" mindset—bias to action, comfort with ambiguity, ability to create structure where none exists
- Deep command of modern product practices across discovery, experimentation, analytics, journey mapping, portfolio management, and customer-centric decision making
- Curious about emerging product tools, especially AI-enabled workflows that enhance speed, insight, and creativity
- Able to orchestrate complex, multi-team initiatives with senior visibility
- Exceptional communicator who can influence and align diverse stakeholders
- Highly organized and able to balance multiple workstreams while maintaining strategic coherence.
