About the role

  • Provide domain-specific expertise to drive the driver/OS/firmware (BIOS/EC) engineering development and implementation process
  • Lead multiple project teams of other software/firmware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners
  • Manage and expand relationships with internal and external development partners on software/firmware design and development
  • Communicate software/firmware development progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders
  • Collaborate with management and manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and quality activities

Requirements

  • Typically 8+ years experience in NB/PC related software/firmware development
  • Extensive experience with multiple software/firmware design tools and languages, such as C, C++, Python, Assembly, WinDbg, etc.
  • Evaluating forms and processes for software/firmware testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
  • Experience in CI/CD and Agile or other equivalent modern development method.
  • Experience in overall architecture of software/firmware and interaction with hardware/software/OS designs for products and solutions.
