About the role

  • Drive the development of microservices using Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, NoSQL, and AWS technologies.
  • Create high-level designs and architecture, collaborating with other architects as needed.
  • Explore and adopt new AWS technologies to optimize application architecture and performance.
  • Debug production incidents related to microservices, authentication, authorization, databases, UI (React), and other components.
  • Collaborate with product teams to ideate, prototype, and develop new features and functionalities.
  • Proactively take ownership of projects, identifying areas for improvement and driving initiatives.
  • Work closely with different teams to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end components.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, JPA, REST, microservices, SQL, NoSQL, and web frameworks.
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud-native development, preferably with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
  • Strong ability to integrate front-end components with back-end APIs and services.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques for web applications.
  • Experience working in agile environments and using agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve complex technical challenges.
