About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

design, enhance, and maintain pricing models and raters
perform rate indications and quantify rate adequacy across programs/products
evaluate program performance and delivering actionable data-driven insights to improve program results
develop rates, rating plans and product strategies for new and existing programs/products
Work closely with other senior leaders, underwriters, and external stakeholders to align actuarial practices with business objectives.
Strengthen relationships between the actuarial team both within DUAL and with DUAL’s carrier partners.
Lead research and development efforts in actuarial science to leverage new technologies and methodologies for improving service delivery and efficiency.
Mentor more junior team members of the actuarial team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 10 years of experience in an actuarial or insurance role
ACAS or FCAS or international equivalent
Strong understanding of basic and advanced ratemaking and reserving techniques and principles
Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously
Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex actuarial concepts to non-specialists.
Strategic thinker with a proven ability to influence business decisions and drive innovation within the actuarial domain.
Technical Skills: SQL, R, Python, Excel, PowerBI
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Engineering, etc.)
