About the role
- Define and own the Website Builder’s technical direction and architecture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align business strategy.
- Ensure code quality, system reliability, and scalability across the product.
- Drive best practices in CI/CD, observability, and cloud infrastructure.
- Support, mentor, and guide engineers toward technical excellence.
- Balance priorities between delivering fast and building sustainably.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including technical leadership.
- Strong expertise in Node.js, Express, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Experience with Redis, message queues (RabbitMQ, BullMQ, GCP PubSub), and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of service-based architecture, database design, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with modern frontend technologies (Vue.js, Astro, etc.) and how they interact with backend systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, PMs, and EMs.
- Experience with observability tools (Sentry, Grafana, Prometheus).
- A proactive, accountable mindset with ownership over technical outcomes.
