About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure that all accounting transactions/entries comply with accounting standards and current legislation, guaranteeing that each transaction is supported by an appropriate document;
Monthly closing: analyze monthly movements, accounting provisions, and correct any possible errors;
Monthly reconciliation of accounting balances and correction of inconsistencies;
Preparation of medium/high-complexity supporting reports;
Support in the preparation of period closing reports;
Identify possible deviations in processes or procedures in other areas, propose and implement improvements;
Calculation, verification, and preparation of tax and contribution payment guides;
Registration/recording of new branches/companies with the competent authorities;
Issuance of certificates of compliance, resolution of issues or referral of pending matters to the responsible areas;
Support for audits and inspections;
Filing and submission of declarations to competent authorities: DCTF, SPEDs, DIRF and others, ensuring accurate completion;
Accounting and documentary control of fixed asset movements: asset capitalization/registration (tombamento), write-off of accounting records for obsolete assets, depreciation calculation, and maintenance of the invoice archive related to asset acquisitions;
Continuous updating on tax legislation and accounting standards;
Develop policies and procedures for the area in collaboration with the team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Ciências Contábeis)
Postgraduate degree in Controllership preferred
Knowledge of MV system preferred
Microsoft Office
