About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure that all accounting transactions/postings comply with accounting standards and current legislation, ensuring each transaction is supported by appropriate documentation;
Monthly close: analyze monthly transactions, accounting provisions, and correct possible errors;
Monthly reconciliation of accounting balances and resolution of discrepancies;
Preparation of supporting reports of medium/high complexity;
Support in the preparation of period-end closing reports;
Identify potential deviations in processes or procedures in other areas, propose and implement improvements;
Calculation, verification, and preparation of tax and contribution payment guides;
Registration/onboarding of new branches/companies with the competent authorities;
Issuance of certificates of compliance, resolution of outstanding issues or referral of such items to the responsible departments;
Support during audits and inspections;
Filing of statutory declarations with the competent authorities: DCTF, SPEDs, DIRF and others, ensuring accurate completion;
Accounting and documentary control of fixed asset movements: asset tagging, write-off of obsolete assets from the accounting records, depreciation calculation, and maintenance of invoice records related to asset acquisitions;
Continuous updates on tax legislation and accounting standards;
Develop area policies and procedures together with the team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Postgraduate degree in Controllership (preferred)
Knowledge of MV (preferred)
Microsoft Office (proficient)
