About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Technical responsibility for existing and new applications or services within our cyber-security product portfolio
Design, development, and maintenance of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
Participation in architecture decisions and active shaping of the long-term technical direction
Close collaboration with other developers, Product Management, UX/UI and QA to implement holistic solutions
Ensuring high standards regarding performance, security, stability, and code quality
Active participation in code reviews, architecture, and technical discussions
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation to ensure long-term maintainability
Providing technical support and mentoring to junior developers
Working on multiple products as well as implementing new features, optimizations, and maintenance tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science, apprenticeship as an application developer (Fachinformatiker:in für Anwendungsentwicklung) or a comparable practical qualification
At least five years of professional experience in software development with a focus on frontend or backend
Deep expertise in a core area of software development and a solid understanding of adjacent disciplines
Experience with one or more modern technology stacks, e.g., Angular, TypeScript, Web Components on the frontend or Python, Django, FastAPI, REST APIs and distributed systems on the backend
Solid experience in developing and operating scalable, high-quality software in complex, distributed systems
Strong understanding of modern software architecture, clean-code principles and common best practices
Experience with modern development processes such as version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and code reviews
Enjoy working in cross-functional teams as well as participating in technical discussions and architecture decisions
Strong analytical skills, structured working style and a high level of personal responsibility
Team-oriented, solution-focused, reliable and resilient
Confident handling of UNIX-based systems, particularly Linux
Excellent German and fluent English skills
