About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Directs staff engaged in providing services in Finance; Purchasing; IT Services; Property; Student Records; Food Service and Facilities Maintenance to ensure departmental programs and standards meet all DOL, FAR, PRH, Center and Horizons Youth Services’ requirements.
- Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.
- Evaluates personnel under his/her management and makes recommendations regarding disciplinary actions, promotions, and/or merit increases.
- Monitors Center and Departmental budgets.
- Supervises Finance; Student Records; Purchasing; IT Services; Property; Food Service and Facilities Maintenance.
- Participates in weekly meetings and special related functions.
- Holds weekly departmental meetings with staff to pass on communications from the senior staff, meeting, other CD directives, and informational memos and/or policy changes.
- Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
- Monitors the Center’s facility developments and enhancements including national office projects as planned and reports progress and/or concerns to the Center Director.
- Works as Acting Center Director as needed when Center Director is away from Center.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Three to five years of responsible experience in finance and accounting required.
- Three to five years of supervisory experience required.
- Proficient with Excel spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to analyze financial data and communicate results to management.
- Knowledge of the federal procurement process preferred.
- Knowledge of the federal property process preferred.
