About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop strong knowledge of Horace Mann Property and Casualty insurance products, services and policies.
- Handle and problem solve customers' inquiries via phone, email, and chats.
- Responsible for ensuring a great customer experience in both written and verbal communications.
- Maintain quality and compliance within every interaction by adhering to all applicable company and state rules and regulations.
- Responsible for proactive up-sell and cross-sell of insurance solutions to existing customer base.
Requirements
What you’ll need- H.S. diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 2+ years of customer service/business/sales experience preferred.
- Insurance or Finance industry experience helpful.
- Successfully complete the Service Representative Trainee Program
- Obtain and maintain Insurance Producers License and Non-Residence License within 12 months of hire and maintain after that.
- Basic math skills and billing interpretation skills.
- Effective communication, both written and verbally – ability to identify unmet customer needs and provide solutions.
- Demonstrate active listening, system navigation, research, problem-solving, critical thinking, organization and time management skills.
- Internet speed of at least 10 mb/s download 1mb/s upload – Verification required.
- Employee must have a private, organized location removed from daily household distractions.
