About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee GAAP, SEC, FINRA, and Statutory (SAP) financial reporting across business segments.
- Ensure accurate accounting across key areas including investments, insurance products, and equity.
- Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls over financial reporting and general ledger processes.
- Support financial planning, modeling, and capital/EPS projections.
- Partner with business leaders on strategic initiatives, new products, and regulatory changes.
- Lead interactions with external auditors and state regulators.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Statutory (SAP) accounting in the insurance industry.
- Experience with financial systems and reporting tools.
- Proven leadership, project management, and business partnering skills.
