About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, code, implement, and support integration processes and data warehouse activities
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Develop, customize, and manage integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data pipeline jobs transferring data to and from databases
  • Mentor junior members on best practices and design patterns
  • Code, test, and implement integration software for ETL solutions
  • Develop data extraction, transformation, and loading mappings from different sources to a target data lakehouse or warehouse
  • Schedule and integrate application/software logs with monitoring applications
  • Implement stored procedures and query data lakehouse, data warehouse, MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server systems
  • Debug and troubleshoot errors and support production jobs
  • Produce in-depth development, policy, and procedure documentation
  • Participate in development planning sessions and weekly team status meetings
  • Create and update project management documentation
  • Provide occasional off-hours emergency and on-call support
  • Maintain current knowledge of new and existing software
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • 2 years of experience with data lakehouse or enterprise data required
  • 2 years of database development experience with Python, SQL, PL/SQL, and Bash required
  • 2 years of Big Data experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, or similar required
  • 3 years of data engineering experience with an integration/ETL tool or application required
  • 1 year of experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS preferred
  • 2 years of healthcare or related experience preferred
  • Available for occasional off-hours emergencies and on-call support
  • Experience with data ingestion, data transformation, and data quality tools is highly valued
  • Experience leveraging Unified Catalog or Microsoft Purview is highly valued
