About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, code, implement, and support integration processes and data warehouse activities
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Develop, customize, and manage integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data pipeline jobs transferring data to and from databases
- Mentor junior members on best practices and design patterns
- Code, test, and implement integration software for ETL solutions
- Develop data extraction, transformation, and loading mappings from different sources to a target data lakehouse or warehouse
- Schedule and integrate application/software logs with monitoring applications
- Implement stored procedures and query data lakehouse, data warehouse, MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server systems
- Debug and troubleshoot errors and support production jobs
- Produce in-depth development, policy, and procedure documentation
- Participate in development planning sessions and weekly team status meetings
- Create and update project management documentation
- Provide occasional off-hours emergency and on-call support
- Maintain current knowledge of new and existing software
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience with data lakehouse or enterprise data required
- 2 years of database development experience with Python, SQL, PL/SQL, and Bash required
- 2 years of Big Data experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, or similar required
- 3 years of data engineering experience with an integration/ETL tool or application required
- 1 year of experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS preferred
- 2 years of healthcare or related experience preferred
- Available for occasional off-hours emergencies and on-call support
- Experience with data ingestion, data transformation, and data quality tools is highly valued
- Experience leveraging Unified Catalog or Microsoft Purview is highly valued
