Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing — required
  • Graduate from an accredited NLN/CCNE institution — required
  • 2 years RN experience — required
  • Registered Nurse state or compact-state licensure in Arizona upon hire — required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — required
  • Unit-specific certification as required by specialty area — required
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) — preferred
  • Diploma and ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months of hire or have 5 or more years of Registered Nurse experience at the time of hire
  • National certification for unit-specific patient population — preferred
  • Travelers must complete a minimum 13-week assignment in full-time status
  • Stroke-care staff must understand stroke symptoms and warning signs, identification and management protocols, NIHSS and Modified Rankin Stroke scales, Stroke Alert activation, stroke quality indicators, education materials, community resources, and Stroke Center website resources
