About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform advanced installation, maintenance, and repair of fire detection and life safety systems, including Honeywell XLS4000, XLS3000, Honeywell Self-Test technologies, and other Honeywell fire alarm systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues on-site to ensure system reliability and compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to provide technical support and ensure seamless integration of fire and life safety solutions
- Conduct system testing and inspections to verify proper operation and adherence to regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all field activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service or technical roles related to fire protection or life safety systems
- Strong technical knowledge of fire detection, alarm systems, and life safety equipment, including installation and troubleshooting expertise
- Proficiency with Honeywell XLS4000, Honeywell Self-Test, and Honeywell Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and regulatory codes related to fire safety systems
- NICET certification Level I or higher is preferred; candidates without certification must be willing to obtain NICET Level I certification within 180 days of hire
- Experience in fire protection or life safety industries, with a focus on customer service and technical excellence
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards and experience ensuring compliance
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers
