About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish trusted-advisor relationships with executive-level decision makers regarding outcome-based facility solutions
- Secure introductory appointments with top decision makers about facility infrastructure enhancement, repair, and modernization
- Penetrate new markets and accounts, develop relationships with key decision makers, uncover opportunities, recommend solutions, negotiate, and win business
- Understand customers’ businesses and identify value through Honeywell technology, solutions, and resources
- Coordinate customer-facing and internal efforts to create value propositions and proposals that secure orders and meet or exceed targets
- Follow Honeywell’s Sales Operating System, including CRM usage, weekly forecasting, monthly pipeline reviews, and quarterly walk-to-plan activities
- Lead cross-functional teams developing proposals with technical and financial solutions, cost savings, and greenhouse-gas reductions
- Maintain knowledge of renewable energy, off-grid generation and storage, LEED accreditation, and carbon monetization
- Manage a disciplined, milestone-driven sales process based on financial drivers and customer requirements
- Use consultative selling to identify customer financial, carbon-reduction, resilience, and technology needs
- Travel as needed, up to 30%
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of sales experience
- Minimum 5 years of complex sales and/or business development experience
- Experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, high-tech manufacturing, or commercial-building markets
- 3 years of Energy Service Company (ESCO) experience
- Demonstrated record of opening new accounts, accessing upper-level management, and creating sales pipelines that convert to orders
- Experience developing distributed energy resource projects, including solar PV, microgrids, and Combined Heat and Power generation assets
- Experience leading technical teams developing projects addressing customer initiatives and goals
- Understanding of Energy Service Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, and Energy Savings Performance Contracts
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 30%
- U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected status under asylum or refugee law, due to U.S. export control laws
