About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish trusted-advisor relationships with executive-level decision makers regarding outcome-based solutions.
- Secure introductory appointments with decision makers about facility infrastructure enhancement, repair, and modernization.
- Use consultative selling techniques to identify financial, regulatory, resilience, and technology needs.
- Identify stakeholders and decision makers to advance opportunities through public-agency procurement processes.
- Assist expert proposal managers in creating proposals.
- Lead cross-functional teams developing proposals covering technical and financial solutions, cost savings, and greenhouse-gas reductions.
- Lead oral interviews, presentations to decision makers and governing bodies, and contract negotiations.
- Articulate how infrastructure modernization and energy solutions support sustainability, resiliency, savings, and optimization.
- Monitor energy-market dynamics and geographically specific legislation affecting performance-based energy agreements.
- Maintain knowledge of renewable energy, off-grid generation and storage, LEED accreditation, and carbon monetization.
- Present the value of Honeywell’s energy-related products and services.
- Develop and implement market-growth strategies for geographic and market-aligned clients.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 years of consultative sales experience across a multi-state territory
- Minimum of 5 years of complex sales and/or business development experience in federal, state, or local government, K12 schools, or higher education
- Proficient understanding of key sales principles and best practices
- Excellent team and communication skills
- Significant experience selling industrial products
- Deep technical acumen
- Understanding of Honeywell’s value proposition and competitive landscape
- Knowledge of ESPC (Energy Savings Performance Contracting)
- Hardware and software experience
- Knowledge of energy and operational savings
- Knowledge of smart controls, smart lighting, battery storage, data storage, EV charging, water meters, building automation, and onsite solar
- Experience within the financial sector
- Mechanical engineering experience
- Experience selling energy and lighting efficiency solutions
- Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status under asylum or refugee status due to U.S. export control laws
