About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide industry‑leading metallurgical expertise to support reliable unit operation and drive new innovations across the refining, petrochemical, and gas processing industries.
- Partner with industry experts to diagnose and resolve complex metallurgical and corrosion challenges.
- Lead material selection and corrosion control decisions for new designs, revamps, and operating units.
- Conduct hands‑on troubleshooting including field inspections, unit walkdowns, and on‑site failure investigations.
- Perform and interpret failure analyses including metallography, hardness testing, and materials characterization.
- Support development of new processes and equipment through materials testing and technical evaluation.
- Contribute to corporate and industry standards through participation in NACE/AMPP, API, and ASME committees.
- Provide technical mentorship to early‑career engineers and cross‑functional teams.
- Engage with global customers to deliver technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and strengthen long‑term relationships.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science/Engineering, or related field.
- 10-15 years minimum experience within the refining, petrochemical, or gas processing or energy industry.
