About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report directly to the Director User Exp Design and work out of Mexico City, Mexico.
- Impact Honeywell’s digital customer engagement by building a comprehensive Digital Customer Experience Library.
- Lead UX design for customer-facing applications including eCommerce and GenAI.
- Drive governance and standardization to ensure seamless, accessible user experiences.
- Build and maintain a Digital Customer Experience Library with GDM-approved reusable components and front-end code to streamline development across businesses.
- Lead project discovery and alignment with product owners, defining UX scope, success metrics, and translating business needs into UX deliverables such as flows, wireframes, prototypes, and specifications.
- Drive adoption of the Digital Customer Experience Library by identifying reuse opportunities and collaborating on fit-gap decisions.
- Partner closely with developers during implementation to provide guidance, answer questions, and review UX/UI for quality assurance.
- Provide UX-focused guidance to development teams ensuring thoughtful end-to-end customer journeys and inclusion of UI in UAT with defined acceptance criteria.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 Accessibility Standards across all digital customer experiences.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in front-end development processes with a focus on user experience and accessibility.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as SCSS, React, and NextJS.
- Experience building and maintaining design libraries and systems using tools like Figma and applying Atomic Design principles.
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 standards and accessibility best practices, including experience with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, WAVE, and Lighthouse.
- Proven track record of implementing accessibility standards on web applications and collaborating with UX designers and product teams to translate user needs into technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, UI Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- Certifications in accessibility such as Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) are a plus.
- Experience working in Agile development methodologies and cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to advocate for accessibility and user experience best practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with developers, designers, and product managers.
