About the role

  • Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex Military Avionics systems for several OEM and Operator customers both domestically and internationally
  • You will be integral in creating software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers
  • You will have ownership for software development at every aspect of the product lifecycle, from the front end of business development through product end of life
  • You will work across disciplines within the Electronic Solutions Engineering organization and the Avionics Gold Business Enterprise’s Military Integrated Avionics Product Line to drive growth, help build exceptional engineering talent, and reach critical business milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical field
  • Due to export controls and ITAR products, candidate must be a US citizen
  • At least 6 years of experience working on Avionics products particularly Flight Management Systems (FMS), Flight Controls Systems (AFCS), and / or Communication Management Functions (CMF)
  • Experience using IBM Rational Tools (DOORS, Clearcase, Clearquest, Rose, ReqPro), Greenhills Integrity, Honeywell Integrated Tool Environment GUI, VectorCast, Visual Studios for C/C++, Microsoft Office (Macro Excel, Jama, Subversion (SVN), Jira, Enterprise Architect (EA Diagrams)
  • Experience leading and / or supporting Formal Quality Tests (FQT) including the execution and documentation/reports of these
  • Proven track record developing new or maintaining current FMS, AFCS, or CMF software solutions.
  • Experience with computer languages like Ada, Honeywell test script language, C/C++, Matlab, Perl, and test script languages including Visual Basic, Python, VCL, and Java.
