About the role
- Proactively reviews supplier capabilities, assess operational gaps to identify risks and takes systematic actions to develop a world class supplier.
- Develop positive relationships and work closely with Global quality leaders to manage, implement, and track supplier improvements.
- Review and approve First/Last Article Inspection Reports, source inspections and self-release.
- Perform process and product audits for proactive risk management.
- Support authorities (FAA, EASA, CAAC) and customer audits.
- Ensure supplier compliance while driving systematic problem solving and process improvement plans to deliver performance.
- Monitor supplier Quality metrics associated with supplier capability, trends and related production improvement efforts.
- Support APQP process, systematically drives Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to prevent defects.
- Verify Containment actions and audit effectiveness.
- Train suppliers in Quality tools and processes.
- Provide technical leadership to coordinate implementation of advanced quality processes including statistically based variation reduction, control planning, mistake proofing.
- Provide technical insight to analyze risks and opportunities.
- Drive supplier quality continuous improvement through supplier site support of Honeywell's Quality standards.
- Enhance supplier quality culture through coaching and technical engagement.
- Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
- 5+ years of Supplier Quality experience in manufacturing industry.
- Experience in performing and leading supplier audit.
- Able to read technical drawings and documentation (GD&T).
- Fluency in English and French languages.
- Ability to work and communicate in an intercultural environment.
- General knowledge of how the site's business works and the interactions between departments.
- General knowledge of group procedures.
- Knowledge of computer tools (Office, SAP, various software).
- Willingness to travel (app. 60%).
