About the role

  • Provide visionary leadership for the software engineering department within the Electronic Solutions sector
  • Oversee the delivery of a portfolio of software projects, managing resources and priorities effectively
  • Drive the execution of the software engineering roadmap, promoting innovation
  • Ensure competitive capabilities by staying ahead of market and industry standards
  • Impact the strategic direction of systems and software engineering for integrated product teams on the Honeywell Anthem program
  • Ensure successful delivery of software solutions that align with the company's objectives and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Build a strong, diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 8+ years of experience leading software development projects
  • Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines
  • background and experience with integrated avionics systems
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related field
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles
