About the role
- play a critical role in prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance
- be the planning and execution leader for Honeywell Anthem customer projects
- be the primary decision maker for program cost, schedule and technical and tactical execution for complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency in the aerospace industry
- work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way aircraft operate
- report directly to one of our Next-Gen Avionics Engineering Managers
- work out of our north Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Systems or Computer Science degree
- 8 plus years of experience in systems engineering
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Advanced Engineering degrees like AE (Aerospace Engineering), SE (Systems Engineering)
- Experience in complex system integration projects
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
- Knowledge of change management practices
- Knowledge of system certification requirements and documentation
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning
- Attention to detail
- Business acumen – knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry, including Earned Value and Program Management fundamentals
- Skill in leading through influence and strong communication skill
- Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
- Strong management operating system that facilitates communication
- Ensures that departmental core competencies include continuous PE skill development
- Understand of business objectives and more importantly the ability to interact with our customers
- Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
