About the role

  • play a critical role in prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance
  • be the planning and execution leader for Honeywell Anthem customer projects
  • be the primary decision maker for program cost, schedule and technical and tactical execution for complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency in the aerospace industry
  • work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way aircraft operate
  • report directly to one of our Next-Gen Avionics Engineering Managers
  • work out of our north Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Systems or Computer Science degree
  • 8 plus years of experience in systems engineering
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Advanced Engineering degrees like AE (Aerospace Engineering), SE (Systems Engineering)
  • Experience in complex system integration projects
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
  • Knowledge of change management practices
  • Knowledge of system certification requirements and documentation
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning
  • Attention to detail
  • Business acumen – knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry, including Earned Value and Program Management fundamentals
  • Skill in leading through influence and strong communication skill
  • Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
  • Strong management operating system that facilitates communication
  • Ensures that departmental core competencies include continuous PE skill development
  • Understand of business objectives and more importantly the ability to interact with our customers
  • Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
