About the role
- Learn and support HF engineering activities across multiple programs.
- Assist in researching the operational environment for assigned HF tasks.
- Help draft HF-related documentation such as meeting notes, design summaries, or early requirement inputs.
- Contribute to cross‑functional teamwork with Systems Engineering, Flight Operations, Advanced Technology, and program teams.
- Participate in internal discussions focused on human-centered design, usability, and pilot experience.
- **Design & Analysis Activities**
- Support the development and review of flight deck Human–Machine Interface (HMI) concepts.
- Assist with basic HF analyses (e.g., task analysis, workflow reviews, simple usability reviews).
- Participate in HMI prototyping activities, simulation sessions, or concept evaluations.
- Help prepare HF materials such as sketches, interaction diagrams, or early design guidelines.
- Observe how HF findings are translated into design requirements for flight deck systems.
- **Evaluation & Test Activities**
- Support HF engineers in preparing for usability evaluations or pilot sessions.
- Assist in collecting and organizing data—e.g., notes, observation grids, feedback logs.
- Help set up mockups, benches, or simulator environments for HF evaluations.
- Participate in scenario‑based evaluations by helping run scripts or capturing user behavior.
- **Qualification & Certification Exposure (as applicable to intern role)**
- Gain introductory understanding of HF aspects of aviation certification (EASA/FAA).
- Assist in compiling basic certification-related HF artifacts under supervision.
- Observe how HF requirements translate into compliance demonstrations.
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree (courses in Human Factors, Human-System Integration, Human Engineering, Engineering Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Technology, Cognitive Science, or similar)
- Interest in Aerospace and Human factors area (aviation, cockpit systems, usability, and human–machine interaction)
- Eagerness to learn HF engineering methods and industry standards.
- English – you will communicate in English on a daily basis
- Ability to work 20h/week (in average)
